About Us
Our Mission
Seeds of Hope Village Foundation (SHVF) was founded to help communities cope with a wide range of adversities stemming from poverty and isolation. While SHVF aims to serve entire communities and their members, our main focus is on women, children and the elderly. SHVF is committed to addressing the fundamental issues of poverty, through investment, education, preventative health, and nutrition.
- SHVF food programs help alleviate malnutrition and hunger, by providing families with nutritionally balanced foods. Our food programs supplements what the families already grow on their own.
- SHVF help families defray the cost of education, by providing primary and middle school students with school supplies annually.
- Adequate health care is limited and often non-existent in these rural communities. SHVF offers free health screenings for hypertension, and diabetes; and classes on oral hygiene, and breast-self exams. The SHVF health fairs provide participants with needed information resulting in modified behaviors and better health. Local employees and volunteers staff all of our programs.
Our success is owed to you
SHVF is a direct engagement grass roots organization, rooted in the belief that everyone's dignity ought to be affirmed regardless of need. Your support and involvement are an integral part of our success. It is people like you that make our work possible and sustainable.
